Your Data
Our standing commitment to data minimization, no abuse, Schrems II, and your GDPR rights.
Last updated May 20, 2026
This is our standing commitment about your data — the principles we hold ourselves to, and the rights you have under the GDPR and similar laws.
Data minimization, by default
We collect the least we can. No account is needed to use the site. Subscribing needs only an email. Everything else — your name, your partner’s name, dates — is optional and exists solely to make reminders useful to you. If we don’t need a piece of data to do the thing you asked, we don’t ask for it.
No abuse
- We never sell, rent, or trade your information.
- We never use your data to target you with advertising on other platforms.
- We never email you things you didn’t opt into.
- We never retain data longer than it’s useful — unsubscribe and your record is removed from active sending; ask for deletion and it’s gone.
International transfers — Schrems II
Some of our processors (Loops, Vercel, Anthropic) are US-based, which means EU/UK personal data may be transferred to the United States. We take the Schrems II ruling seriously:
- We only work with processors that offer Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards for EU/UK transfers.
- We minimize what crosses borders in the first place — the less we collect, the less is ever transferred.
- Where a processor offers EU data residency, we prefer it.
If you’d like the specific transfer mechanism for any processor we use, ask and we’ll point you to their current SCCs and Data Processing Agreement.
Your GDPR rights
If you’re in the EU, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, you have the right to:
- Access — get a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct anything that’s wrong.
- Erasure — have your data deleted (“the right to be forgotten”).
- Restriction and objection — tell us to stop certain processing.
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, with no penalty.
To exercise any of these, reply to one of our emails or contact us directly. We’ll respond within 30 days, usually much sooner. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Our promise
We treat your inbox and your relationship like things worth protecting. The whole point of this site is care. That extends to your data.
